Officer reports
Mayor is happy that EOT is scheduled over the first weekend in May, so it does not conflict with local matches.
Another reminder that the annual meeting is very important this year.
Deputy mayor has collected data from Rancho Del Hombre for the inventory, but has been unable to attend a long range match. He will go with Carlos on Wednesday to collect more stuff from Faultline to be inventoried and stop at the long range site for data collection.
Banker report - $1791.50. Received $142 from March long-range ($94), and memberships.
Sheriff's report - Good turnout. High plains target is now installed permanently downrange with a protective structure. M/s/c Chattan/Kid Raven to approve $72 reimbursement for the protective structure.
Marshal's report - Cubby had a friend who attended part of the match. He needs to come up with an alias before one is given to him. He may miss the next match due to work. Chattan will come up with stages and be the match director. Capt. Ball has one in mind.
Schoolmarm - RO I class on Sunday, April 18 at noon. Send announcement, call for RSVP limit to 7. Food will be provided.
Chattan reported as webmaster.
Coalinga match committee - Question was raised about emergency services for the range at last meeting. Parsons Range has looked into it. County level does not require any permits, or medical standby. EMS is within a 10 minute response time. Need to determine if it is within city limits, which may have other permit requirements.
WASA Rules revision committee - working on scheduling a meeting.
New business - CVS has offered to assist Faultline at their Adobe Walls match by running a test run of our framed certificate idea for their match awards. They don't mind if we do.
M/s Carlos/Chattan to spend $250 to do this. Motivations are practice, and advertising. The money will have 100 frames available. These frames probably will not all be used. The motion failed. M/s/c Captain Ball/Kid Raven to authorize up to $50 for this, so the CVS name appears on those certificates. Wif has a friend who is a manager at an Office Depot. He will check prices on 5x7 certificate frames.
Springfield Slim asked why we pay the county range and don't pay the landowner for our three-gun match. M/s/c Capt. Ball/Springfield Slim to pay $4.50 per shooter to the landowner.
Capt. Jim West has raffle tickets on the Kimber being offered by South Valley Firearms Society.
Kid Raven asked how to get new members more involved. Discussion about e-mail blasts.
M/s/cWif/Parsons Range.
